Betty L. Zak, 93, of Ligonier, PA, formerly of Hopewell, VA died Friday, July 20, 2007 in Ligonier Gardens. She was born Sunday, August 24, 1913 in North Braddock, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Sabol Lucas. She was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Hopewell, VA. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband John Zak in 1995 and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Robert and Ardis Marton of Ligonier, Eileen Polomick of High Park, NY, Alma and Cal Eggers of Penn Hills, Andrew Zborovsky of North Huntingdon, and Albert and Joan Lucas of Rochester, MI. A funeral service will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Wednesday, July 25th at 11 AM. The family will be receiving friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
