Betty Lou Bransford Daniel

Betty Lou Bransford Daniel, 80, of Hopewell, passed away on February 3, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Marion Virginia Burrows Bransford; her husband, Richard Daniel; brother, Ralph Bransford Jr.; niece, Beth Ann Bransford. Betty retired from Kenner Army Hospital on Fort Lee after numerous years of service. She was the owner operator of Village Washerette and worked at J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home for many years. Betty was a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and St. Martha’s Guild. She is survived by her sons, William “Bill” Daniel and his wife, Kelly of Powhatan, VA, and James “Jay” Daniel of Hampton, VA; her grandchildren, Emily Daniel and Grant Daniel; special nieces, Debra Hudson, Wendy Quarles, and Sue Allison; special nephew, Patrick Bransford and other nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Frances Duncan and her husband, Bill of Hopewell, as well as many extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday February 9, 2017 at St. John’s Episcopal Church 505 Cedar Lane, Hopewell, VA 23860 with interment to be held in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George.
