Betty Daniel Lucy

Betty Daniel Lucy, 74, of Prince George, VA, widow of Lawrence Ashton “Pete” Lucy, Sr., passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018. Born in Prince George, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen Marie Daniel. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Christi Lucy, and three brothers, Bobby, Elmer, and Henry Daniel. Mrs. Lucy was co-owner of Tri-City Wrecker Service and a former bus driver in Prince George County for 22 years. She loved spending time at her place on Lake Gaston at Sherwood Forest Campground as well as taking trips to the beach. She enjoyed dancing and absolutely loved her church, Sycamore United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lucy is survived by her sons, Lawrence Ashton “Pete” Lucy, Jr. and Kevin Dale Lucy and wife, Kirstin; grandchildren, Timothy Alan Lucy and Jenna Michelle Lucy; sister, Helen May and husband, Larry; sisters-in-law, Gail Daniel and Carolyn Daniel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Southlawn Memorial Park.
