Betty Rook

Betty Leath Rook affectionately known as â??Nannyâ?, 89, of Ford, formerly of Petersburg, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie Effie Rook; sisters, Mattie R. Repak and her husband, Joe and Alma R. Berryman and her husband, John; niece, Faye Berryman and nephew, J.W. â??Billâ? Repak. Betty was a member of Second Baptist Church in Petersburg. She was a hard worker and loved her family, especially her cats and dogs. She is survived by her nieces, Mary B. Lynch and her husband, George of Ford, VA, Betty B. Buchanan of Bluefield, VA, and Daryll B. Repak of Chester, VA; numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service tonight, Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, October 16, 2009 at Southlawn Memorial Park.
