Mrs. Betty Lee “NANA” Smith, 69, widow of John W. Smith of Disputanta, died Friday, August 20, 2004 She was a native of Matoaca and lifelong resident of this area. She was the daughter of James W. Anthony and the late Virginia Porter Anthony. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a grandson, Paul “Tripp” Cerny, III and a sister Nancy Staton. She is survived by one son, Bruce W. Smith (Sherri) of Disputanta, Va., daughter, Tammy Cerny (Paul) of Prince George Co., one sister, Gail Williams (Jimmy) of Dinwiddie Co., grandchildren, Kristen Cerny, Prince George Co., Austin Smith and Colton Smith both of Disputanta, Va., Michelle Cerny of Prince George Co. nephew, Brian Williams of Dinwiddie Co. and a niece Jayme Williams of Henrico Co., Va. Graveside services will be conducted 10 AM Tuesday August 24 , 2004 at Southlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Prince George, Co. The family is being served by J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg.
