Betty Dean Trogdon

Betty D. Trogdon, of Chester, VA, born December 18, 1942, passed away on August 1, 2022. Daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Gladys M. Broughton. Preceded in death by a sister, Shirley A. Arehart; and son, David D. Harrell. She was survived by her four children, Jimmy Harrell (Shannon) of Mechanicsville, VA, Nada Martin (Rodney) of Chester, VA, Lisa Gavathe (Shay) of Prince George, VA and Jay Trogdon (Shaquita) of N. Chesterfield, VA; six grandchildren, Michael Harrell (Kathy), Sabrina Gurley (Eddie), James Harrell, Jayson Trogdon, Axel Gavathe, Justice Williams; great-grandson, Kaleb Harrell; her aunt, Bessie Hoover; nephew, "Peanut" Owens; and niece, Dacia Arehart. Betty lived in Hopewell, VA most of her life, and drove a taxi cab for 40 plus years. She liked horror movies, reading, coloring, and word puzzles. She was humble and kind; a wonderful, loving person who loved her family, and never judged anyone; she just loved us! She loved to make people laugh. She loved everyone, and everyone loved her. She will be greatly missed. Love you Mom!!
