Beverly Jones Hawkins

Beverly J. Hawkins, 76, of Church Road, VA, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Helen Bowman Jones; and sister, Page J. Traylor. Beverly was a member of Dinwiddie Baptist Church, where she served as a pianist. She was also a member of the Petersburg Art League and the Petersburg Historical Society. Beverly was a well-known local artist, known for her paintings of the many historical homes and buildings in Petersburg and Dinwiddie. She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Hawkins; sons, Robert W. Hawkins and Steven C. Hawkins; daughter, Page H. Smith; grandchildren, Russell A. Hawkins and Christopher E. Hawkins; brother, Robert M. Jones (Ruth); and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will held at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 3:00 P.M., at Dinwiddie Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
