Beverly Ann Wessel

Beverly Markham Wessel, age 87, of Hopewell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 3, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Christopher C. and Loveday G. Markham.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Wessel, Sr.; her son, Alan Glass; four sisters, Carrie Lee Markham, Mary Alice Cook, Hilda M. Quick, and Frances M. Brinkley; and one brother, Christopher C. Markham, Jr.
She is survived by many precious nieces; nephews; and her church family. She loved them all so very much.
She is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 West Broadway Avenue, Hopewell, VA 23860.
A graveside service will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, VA 23805, on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 11:00 am. The officiating pastor is Thurman Collier, of City Point Restoration Church of God. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to C.P.R. Church of God, 2300 Bluefield Street (P.O. Box 379), Hopewell, VA 23860.
