Billie Lee Scott Dodson

Billie Lee Scott Dodson, 84, of Topsail Beach, North Carolina, formerly of Hopewell, Virginia passed away Sunday December 13, 2015 in Wilmington, NC. She was a founder of the Hopewell Food Pantry, a member of the JILTS Social Club, the Hopewell Woman’s Club, the Topsail Beach Birthday club, Topsail Ladies Club and the Topsail Beach Historic Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron W. Dodson, and her parents William and Artie Britt Scott. Billie Lee is survived by two God-sons, Floyd Lee Moore, James Richard (Jay) Daniel; and numerous cousins and close friends. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, December 21, 2015 in Sunset Memorial Park with the Rev. Darrell Boggs officiating. Flowers are welcome or contributions in her name may be made to a charity of your choice. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
