Billy Adams

Billy Eugene Adams, 84, of Hopewell, Va. passed from this life into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at his home. Billy was born in Auburn, W. VA., the son of the late George William and Laura Garrison Adams, and was preceded in death by his sister Katy Adams Vanderpool. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Jennie Washington Adams, his brother George William Adams Jr., of McMurray Pa., his sisters, Virginia Adams and Eugenia Adams Limparis, both of Weston W.VA., 4 sons, Kenneth and his wife Carolyn, Jeffrey and his wife Kimberly, Carey and his wife Melissa, and Gregory all of the Hopewell area, 7 grandchildren, Caryn, Carly, Calyn, Trevor, Garrison, Remington, and Storm. He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Hopewell where he taught the Edwards Sunday school Class, sang in the choir, and had served as a Deacon. He was a graduate of West VA. University and Glenville State College. He was a World War II veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. He family will receive friends 7:00-8:30 PM Tuesday October 25 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, a funeral service will be held Wednesday 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Hopewell with the Rev. John Carpenter officiating, interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park in Enon.
