Billy Ray Pearce

Billy Ray Pearce, 44, of Disputanta, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Allen Hughes and parents, Billy Boy Pearce and Gladys Lamm Pearce. He is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnna Christine Zanelotti Pearce; children, Brandon Ray Pearce, Mackenzie Renae Pearce, Madison Brooke Pearce, Courtney Rose Smith, and Brendan Dominick Zanelotti; siblings, Thomas Wayne Hughes, and Debbie Hughes Fischer and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Billy was employed with MEB General Contractors as a Superintendent. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed rooting for the Baltimore Orioles and the BYU Cougars. In his spare time, he loved to bass fish. When he didn’t have a pole in his hand you could find Billy working in his yard while enjoying a “cold one”. He had a passion for Mopar vehicles. Billy was competitive in everything he did and was especially proud of his victories in basketball against his son, Brandon. Most of all, Billy loved his family and will be missed dearly.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Southlawn Memorial Park.
