Billy Glenn Sheffield

Billy Glenn Sheffield, 88, of Petersburg, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Born in Victoria, VA, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Artie Cottrell Sheffield. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Edward Sheffield, Jr. and Ralph Clifford Sheffield. Bill retired from J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in 2007, after 54 years as a funeral director. He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and Blandford Lodge No. 3 A.F. & A.M. He is survived by his wife, Edith Moody Sheffield, and a son, William Scott Sheffield, both of Petersburg, sister-in-law, Frances Sheffield, a niece, Cynthia Sheffield, and a nephew, Clifford Sheffield, all of Victoria, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Blandford Cemetery with the Reverend Gretchen Nelson officiating.
