Billy Eugene Smithson

Billy Eugene Smithson, 82, of North Dinwiddie, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Delores Smithson: his parents, David Sr. and Virgie Smithson; daughter, Debbie Osborne; and grandson, Charles R. Osborne. Bill was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He is survived by daughters, Barbara Hammond (James), Anita Walker (Gary), Kimberly Tilley (Michael), and Torrie Ruxer (Rob); 12 grandchildren, including Stacy Lipford (Charles); 13 great-grandchildren, including Jessica (Jonathan), Christina, and Amanda Lipford; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, David Smithson, Jr. (Ann). The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Southside Baptist Church, 2007 Boydton Plank Rd. Petersburg, VA 23805.
