Blanche Mae Sears Davis, 100, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at Waverly Health Care, Waverly, VA, with her family by her side. Born in Stoutland, MO, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Alma Jane Whitehead Sears. She was a member of West Side Assembly of God in Marion, IN. for sixty years. She was the widow of Lloyd Davis,

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughters, Terry Irene Rose and husband Reed and Janet K. Rose and husband Lloyd of Wakefield, and Beverly Jane Hatt and husband George of Lufkin, TX; sons, Jimmy Ray Davis and wife Doris of Prince George, VA, Colin Kelly Davis and wife Judy of Warner-Robbins, GA, and Richard Lee Davis and wife Wanda of Resaca, GA; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. The oldest of eight children, Mrs. Davis is predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, VA. The family will be at the residence of Reed and Terry Rose, 945 Otterdam Rd., Waverly, VA. Donations may be made to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 583, Waverly, VA 23890.
