Blanche Ellis

Blanche Seymour Ellis, 94, of Colonial Heights, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday April 2, 2009. She was predeceased by her parents Willie E. & Bessie Johnson Seymour; her husband, Lawrence W. Ellis, Sr.; a daughter, Margaret Stamos; sisters, Bernice L. Westmoreland, Mary T. Dyson and Florence Rose; a brother, Leslie Seymour and a grandchild, Jerilyn Banning . She was born in Church Road, Dinwiddie County, Virginia and was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. She is survived by sons, Lawrence W. Ellis, Jr., and Robert F. Ellis; four grandchildren, Melvyn D. Ellis, Karl M. Stamos, Lawrence W. Ellis, III and Robin Mapes; six great-grandchildren, Stephanie L. Ellis, Jessica M. Ellis, Rhonda Ellis, Caitlin Mahanes, David Mahanes and Ryan Banning. The family will receive friends Sunday April 5, 2009 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 4-6 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Monday April 6, 2009 at 11:00 am., with Dr. Louis Williams officiating.
