"Gene" Blanton Judge

"Gene" Blanton Judge, 44, of Sutherland, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Michael Christopher Clark.

Gene was a self-employed man who started and ran his own construction business, Judge's Construction. He loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. Most of all, however, he will be remembered as being a selfless, family-oriented man who put his loved ones needs above himself. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Audrey Judge; his children, Alexis Clark, Brandy Judge, and Joshua Judge; mother, Darlene Eggleston; grandchild, Kora Clark; sisters, Becky Mescall (Donald) and Tina Martin (Tim); mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Linda and Ken Brown; father-in-law and stepmother-in-law, John and April Clark; nieces, Brooke Paris, Valerie Heath, Krista Puckett, and Samantha Rice; nephews, Michael Clark Jr., Caden Mescall, Logan Martin, and Landon Martin; and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the following day in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will directly follow the service at East Matoaca Cemetery.
