Bob James Zimmerman

Bob James Zimmerman, 51, of McKenney, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Bob was employed with VDOT for 27 years and was Resident Administrator for the Petersburg Residency at the time of his death. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Tanya Wrenn Zimmerman; son, James Wesley Zimmerman; parents, Phillip and Rosemarie Zimmerman; two sisters, Susan Zimmerman and Judy Thompson; mother-in-law, Joyce Wrenn Quick (Travis); sister-in-law, Sherry Wrenn Armishaw (Bob); nephew, Nicholas Armishaw; niece, Emily Moran (Cory); and numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014 at Monumental Baptist Church, 2925 S. Crater Rd., Petersburg, VA 23805 with Pastor Barry Ginn, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Monumental Baptist Church or your local animal shelter.
