Bobbie Dixon Perkinson

Bobbie D, Perkinson, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Gaither Dixon and Nishia Belle Stroup Dixon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Earl "Bubba" Perkinson; two brothers, Hubert Dixon and James Dixon; and three sisters, Edna Gates, Ava Belcher, and Katholeen Willis. Bobbie was retired from Dominion Virginia Power. Bobbie is survived by two sisters; Frances Boyd of Petersburg, and Lorene Pittenger of Sturgis, Michigan; a special niece, Nancy Frazier and her husband, Sandy Frazier; and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She is also survived by a special person she considered her son, Martin Hudgins; another special person and her gardener, Wayne Mann; and three extraordinary caregivers, Kathryn Barton, Edlee Ferrel, and Deborah Hudgins. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Monday, May 23, 2016 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the funeral home.
