Bobby Dixon

Bobby Calvin Dixon, 85, of Prince George, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph M. and Lillie Dixon and his first wife, Merle Sally Dixon. Mr. Dixon retired from the U.S Army after 20 years of service as well as 20 years of service with VDOT. He is survived by his wife, Jean Dixon; sons, Terry D. Dixon, of Arizona, Garry C. Dixon, of Prince George; step-son, Terry Botts; grandchildren, Terry Dixon, Jr., Stacy Griffin, Kim Pinney, Christopher Dixon, Tyler Dixon and Gregory Dixon; step-grandchildren, Brandie Nicole Story, Ryan Botts, Brandon Botts, and Caitlyn Botts; great-grandchildren, Savannah Pinney, Ciera Griffin, and Ramey Griffin; step-great-grandchildren, Alexie Story, Blake Story, and Libbie Story. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Dr. Russell Jurek officiating. Entombment with military honors will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
