Bobby Jones

Bobby Van Jones, age 77, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2009. He was born in Pitt County, North Carolina, son of the late Willie J. and Annie Clark Jones. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly L. Jones. Bobby worked for over 20 years with Reynolds Metal before retiring. He is survived by his children, Adrian J. Phillingame, Bobby V. Jones, Jr., Cheryl E. Jones, and Darla J. Mills; grandchildren, Bobby V. Jones, III, Joseph Jones, Matthew C. Tyler and Lauren T. Mills; great grandson, Michael C. Tyler; sister, Doris J. Moore; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester.
