Bobby Allen Phillips, Sr., 79, of Church Road, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lee and Miranda Redd Phillips; two sons, Bobby A. Phillips, Jr., and Randy Phillips; brother, Billy Phillips; and sister, Jenny Sue Hawkins. Bobby loved bluegrass music and was the N.Y. Yankees #1 fan. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Traylor (William); three sons, Richard Phillips, Sr. (Connie), Thomas Phillips, Sr. (Marsha), and John Michael Phillips, Sr. (Cindy Jones); 19 grandchildren, Stephanie Traylor, William Traylor, Jr., Brittany Easter, Curtis Phillips, Jr., Ashley Phillips, Haley Phillips, Randy Phillips, Jr., Jimmy Phillips, John Michael Phillips, Jr., Virginia Fulchum, Courtney Dorton, Thomas Phillips, Jr., Justin Phillips, Tiffany Phillips, Jayson Phillips, Jasper Phillips, Taylor Phillips, Tyson Phillips, Chloe Phillips and Casey Phillips; twin granddaughters on the way; 11 great-grandchildren, Peyton McGee, Cameron Traylor, Neveah Traylor, Trip Easter, Landyn Perry, Eli Perry, Charlie Perry, T.G. Phillips, III, Skylar Phillips, Ava Phillips, and Abby Phillips, and one great-grandchild on the way; devoted niece, Debbie Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
