Bolling Staunton Partin, Jr., 66, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Bolling S. Partin, Sr. Bo was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Chester Lodge No. 94. He was a Veteran in the Army Reserves retiring as a Major. He was a former VHSL Basketball Official and taught business/real estate at John Tyler Community College. Bo retired from Partin Oil Company after many years and went on to be the proud owner of Chester Junction Restaurant. Bo enjoyed helping others and often donated blood to the Virginia Blood Service. He will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, June Collins Partin; wife, Susan Figg Partin; two sons, Bolling Partin, III. (Stacey) and Stephen Boyd; two grandchildren, Bolling Partin, IV. and Calla Dawson; two brothers, Richard N. Partin (Robin) and John B. Partin (Cindy); three nephews, Nathan, Seth, and Johnny Partin; and a niece, Allison Partin. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
