Bradford Clinton Pruett, 77, of Hopewell, died Thursday, Feb.17, 2005 in John Randolph Nursing Home. He was born in Portsmouth, Va. Mr. Pruett served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, a volunteer at John Randolph Medical Center, a member of the Tri-City Relic and Coin Hunters Club, Tabb Street Presbyterian Church, Petersburg and a retired insulator at Allied Chemical Corporation. He was the son of the late John W. and Gladys Cartwright Pruett and the widower of Ruth Shurm Pruett. Surviving are three sons, Alan C. Pruett and wife Catherine of Petersburg, Steven G. Pruett and wife Donna of Chesterfield, and Donald B. Pruett of Hopewell, a sister, Mitzi Lipford of Virginia Beach and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005 from 3-4:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Monday, Feb.21, 2005 at 1PM in the Appomattox Cemetery with Rev. James A. Carter, officiating.
