Bradley Scott Forehand, 24, departed this life unexpectedly in his home town of Prince George, VA on September 23, 2004. Born on February 20, 1980, the son of Robert E. and Linda M. Forehand. In addition to his parents, Brad is survived by his two sisters, Ashley Forehand and Tammy Stevenson and her husband Lewis and their children Kindall, Conner and Taylor, two brothers, Clay Forehand and Rob Forehand and his wife C. Ann Forehand and their son, Thomas, all of Prince George County. In addition he is survived by his grandmother Edelle Melton; aunts, Lois Burr, Helen Moody; Uncles Floyd Melton, Randel Melton, all of South Carolina; and Uncle Peter Iarricci and Aunt Marie Boyett both of Hopewell, VA and his beloved Godparents, Frank S. and Virginia Trant, of Claremont. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thurman Melton and Robert D. and Gladys L. Forehand, Sr. Brad was a graduate of Prince George High School in 1998 where he excelled in both athletics and academics. He served as captain of the varsity soccer, football and track teams. He was honored with the President’s Education Award, the United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete of the Year Award, Male Athlete of the year Award and membership into the National Honors Society. Brad also volunteered countless hours with the Burrowsville Volunteer Fire Department. A 2002 graduate of Hampton Sydney College, Brad was a distinguished Merit Scholar and served as president of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. After college Brad embraced his passion for the outdoors by founding Genesis Development, Inc. He was also a member of the Southside Virginia Board of Realtors. Brad leaves those who knew him with precious memories of his smile and lessons on how to live and love. Brad’s free time was spent with his beloved girlfriend Perkins Ward, family, and adored dog, Cassidy. All who knew him will forever miss his easy going nature and his never ending willingness to help others. The family will accept friends on Saturday, September 25, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Sunday, September 26, 2004 at 3:00PM in the First Baptist Church, 2nd Street and Randolph Road, Hopewell with the Rev. Bruce Bevans, Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church officiating. Entombment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George County, VA. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com .
