Brenda Cooke

Brenda Lipford Cooke, age 60, of Prospect, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010. She was born on April 27, 1950 in Chesterfield, VA to the late Archer Robert and Hazel Stringfield Lipford. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Cooke. Mrs. Cooke was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband James Irvin Cooke, Sr.; children, James Irvin Cooke, Jr. and wife, Elaine, and Jennifer Lee Cooke Harman and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Brittany Lee Harman, Holly Jennifer Harman, Janet Victoria Rose, Carter Aulick Rose, James Irvin Cooke, III; and a brother, Darrel Keith Lipford and wife, Rita. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home on Monday, August 23, at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
