Brenda Funk Davis, 74, of Church Road, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 31, 2022. Born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Herbert Funk, Sr. and Edna Walker Funk.
Brenda was small but feisty, she fought the good fight up until the end. She loved her family more than anything and took great joy in being a part of all our lives. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, crafts with her grandkids, going to the beach, and celebrating life's important events with her family. Brenda was a loving sister, wife, mother, granny, and great-granny.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, William Leroy Davis, Sr. whom she affectionately called Bily. He was her constant companion and caregiver.
She leaves to cherish her memory four children, William Leroy Davis, Jr. and fiancée, Marian, Elizabeth Davis Dance and husband, Walter, Phillip Bradley Davis and wife, Lauren, and Rebecca Davis Mann and husband, Larry; her beloved grandchildren, William Leroy Davis III (Trey) and wife, Taylor, Ashley Bishop Stump and husband, Bryson, Haley Katherine Davis, Aaron Bryce Bishop, Ashten Elizabeth Davis, Ethan Bradley Davis, Nathan Park Davis, Cashen Bradley Featherstone, Ryan Matthew Smith, and Walter Forrest Dance VI; step-grandsons, Jonas Kelch, Aidan Mann, and Sam Mann; great-granddaughter, Andie Raye Davis; and great-grandson, Carl Daniel Stump.
She leaves behind her brother, Charles Herbert Funk, Jr. and wife, Rosemary; her sister, Emily Susan Brooks; a very special niece, Tara Brooks Kranz; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral service will be private. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
