Brenda Sue Payne

Brenda Sue Payne, 76, of Chester, VA, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023. Born in Tazewell County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Exie Addison; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Rev. Jackie Franklin Payne, Sr.; and her three brothers, Wesley, William, and Donald Addison. Mrs. Payne was a very hard worker and was dedicated to her Lord, her family, and her precious dogs. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Payne is survived by her two sons, Jackie Payne, Jr. (Regina) and Kevin Payne (Amy); four grandchildren, Michael Wilson, Rachael Payne, Ashley Payne, and Jessica Payne; two sisters, Germaine Jenkins and Janice Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association in memory of Brenda Payne.
