Brenda Pope Phillingane

Brenda Pope Phillingane, 70, of Sutherland, VA, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late William Anderson & Rose Archer Southall. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbert Pope, her second husband, R.L. Phillingane, Sr., and her brother, Harry Southall. She is survived by her son, David Pope; daughter, Sharon McNew and husband, Dan; grandchildren, Makayla Pope, Dylan Pope, Danielle Southall, Marcus McNew and Stephen McNew. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
