Brenda Hounshell Robinson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda H. Robinson (nee Hounshell), a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on April 1, 2024, at the age of 74.

Born on May 6, 1949, Brenda grew up in a loving family and graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 1967, as she remained a devoted alumni serving on reunion committees throughout the years. She pursued a fulfilling career as a legal assistant in Chesterfield, VA, where she was known for her professionalism and dedication. Brenda also served as a President of the Chesterfield - Colonial Heights Legal Secretaries Association during her career.

Brenda's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and commitment to her Christian beliefs. She was an active member of Sappony Baptist Church in Stony Creek, VA, where she found solace and joy in serving her community and the Lord. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she supported causes close to her heart, including St. Jude's, Chester Shrine Club, and the Acca Shriner's Richmond Motor Patrol.

Brenda's legacy is one of love, service, and faith. Family was the center of Brenda's universe. Her legacy lives through son, William T. Robinson and his wife Laurinda, and their two daughters, Sarah and Jenna; and daughter, Suzanne R. Jones, and her two sons, Fynn and Wyatt. She also leaves behind her siblings, Neil W. Hounshell and Gail Gehring, several nieces and nephews, and her fiancé, Ronald Wray. Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Claude E. and Suzanne M. Hounshell, and her brother, Rick Hounshell.

A funeral service will be held at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W Hundred Road, Chester, VA, 23831, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Service to begin at 11:00 am, with the family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the ceremony, the family will be hosting a gathering for those in attendance at Chester Christian Church, 4330 Curtis Street, Chester, VA, where Brenda was a devoted member during her time in Chester.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to ACCA Shriners of Richmond, VA, in Brenda's memory.

Brenda's Christian faith served as a guiding light, illuminating her path with kindness, compassion, and unwavering support for her family and friends. While her physical presence may be gone, her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched. May her memory bring comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
