Brian Carl Puse Ii

Brian Carl Puse II, 71, passed away August 9, 2024. Born in Ohio, Brian was the son of Brian Puse and Marian Cummins. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 47 years, Vivian Marie Puse; father, Brian Carl Puse; stepfather, Donald Cummins; and stepmother, Joan Louise Puse.

Brian was an alumni of Virginia Military Institute. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Troy State University and also graduated cum laude from Virginia State University with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Brian was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served his community as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, and Personnel Committee Chair at Woodlawn Baptist Church, twice serving on the Pastor Search Committee. He also enjoyed working with numerous businesses in the Tri-Cities area as a compliance manager, where he helped improve productivity and aided businesses in complying with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Brian was a proud member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and Society of Hazmat Waste Professionals. His contributions to the community will forever leave a lasting legacy.

Brian is survived by his mother, Marian Cummins; son, Brian Carl Puse III (Nancy); grandchildren, Ashton, Ayla, and Ayden Puse; sisters, Stephanie Smally (Steve) and Kim Frock; half-brother, Christopher Cummins (Bertica); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service for Brian will follow on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hopewell Chapel, with interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
