Bruce Cassidy

Bruce M. Cassidy (Rip), of Dinwiddie County, died Monday, February 27, 2012 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Bruce was a life long resident of Dinwiddie County and graduated from Dinwiddie County High School. He was a member of Carson United Methodist Church and was employed by Gentry Septic Pumping, Inc.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Pecht and John M. Cassidy.
He is survived by his sister, Linda L. Hess of Dinwiddie, VA, two uncles, Ronnie L. Pecht of Dinwiddie, VA and Donnie Cassidy of Crossville, TN, three aunts, Janet P. Brockwell of Carson, VA, Helen C. Gounaris of Rockville, MD, Brenda C. Wahl of Crossville, TN, great aunt, Grace L. Bride of Dinwiddie, VA along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bruce leaves behind many devoted friends. Lewis Lufsey and his parents, Ted Baxter, not only his employer but a dear friend, George A. Perkinson, and Dickie Spiers are among the many friends too numerous to name, that enriched Bruceâ??s life.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the J.T. Morriss & Son, Petersburg Chapel from 6 â?? 8 PM.
There will be graveside service at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Harry B. Jones and the Rev. Tammy R. Hayes officiating.
