Bruce Paul Smith

April 7, 1950 — February 17, 2019

Bruce Paul Smith, 68, of North Prince George, VA, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Morrie and Jane Smith Morrie. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Vicki Paul Smith; daughter, Shirley Kline and husband, Kevin; daughter, Suzanne Smith; grandchildren, Kelsey Kline and Robert Kline; sister, Tina Barefield and husband, Danny; brother, Roger Smith and wife, Ruthie; brother-in-law, Phil Andrews and wife, Nelda; and sister-in-law, Susan Smith; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Bruce served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He attended John Tyler Community College, and went on to retire after many years with the Chesterfield County School System. Bruce was an active member of West End Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon and Elder of the church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at West End Presbyterian Church, 1600 Atlantic Ave. Hopewell, VA 23860. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the church. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Bruce may be made to West End Presbyterian Church. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
