Carl Edward Ashby

Carl Edward Ashby, 75, of Petersburg, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lucy Berkley Ashby, his wife, Julia Summey Ashby, and a son, Jason Edward Ashby. Mr. Ashby was a longtime member of West End Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Rodney Ashby and wife, Heather, of Glen Allen; grandchildren, Madison Ashby and Christian Ashby; and a sister, Peggy Clements and husband, Herbert, of Prince George. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12 at West End Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Brendle officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
