Carl Lester Joyce Jr.

Carl “Pete” Lester Joyce, Jr., 62, of Disputanta, VA passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Born in Bassett, VA he was the son of Alma Joyce and the late Carl Lester Joyce, Sr. Mr. Joyce was a United States Coast Guard Veteran. Pete was a graduate of Patrick Henry Community College where he received his degree in Business. He retired from Philip Morris USA in 2015 after 14 years of service. Pete was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing pool and riding horses. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sandra Vaden Joyce; three sisters, Carla Collins, Donna Dillon and Sandra Adams; two sons, Paul and Timothy Ormand; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Iyshay, Alexis, Tina and Melissa; one great-granddaughter, Haleigh; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
