Carl Jr. Winecoff

Carl Floyd Winecoff, Jr., age 78, of Hopewell, VA, died on Sunday, May 31, 2009. He was born in Salisbury, NC, the son of the late Carl F., Sr. and Sarah Belser Winecoff. Mr. Winecoff was a retired Technical Sergeant with the U. S. Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, he obtained his B.S. degree from the Christopher Newport University, Newport News, VA. He also retired from Virginia Power. Mr. Winecoff is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy C. â??Dottyâ? Winecoff; daughters, Shirley C. Lewis and her husband, David of San Diego, CA, Carol Weed of Houston, TX, and Dottie Walsh of Ashland, VA; grandchildren, Jared Walsh, Brian Lewis, and Amber Aperule; great-grandchildren, Alexia and Ayden; a sister, Mabel Bailey of Fairfax, VA; and other family and friends. A memorial service will be held in his honor at the Hopewell chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 5 p.m., with a visitation from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to the ceremony.
