Carl Ernest Sheffield

Carl Ernest Sheffield, 63, of Chester, VA died October 7, 2020. Born in Richmond, VA he was the son of Charles Madison Sheffield and Nancy Scott. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Emory and Ada Scott; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Jessie Sheffield; brother, Scott Sheffield. He is survived by his parents Charles and Nancy Sheffield; brother, Barry Sheffield (Geraldine); sister-in-law, Karen Sheffield; nephew, Christopher Cimburke; nieces, Chelsea and Naedine Sheffield; nephew, Corey Sheffield; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Carl was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Petersburg. He loved cars and enjoyed the sweet things in life like candies, chocolates, working outdoors on his yard and painting. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them. A funeral service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park on Monday October 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday October 11, 2020 at the J. T.
