Carleen Gibson

Carleen Shepperson Gibson, 73, of Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents Mary Bell and Joseph Walter Shepperson, her husband Franklin D. Gibson, and brother Joseph Walter Shepperson, Jr. She was a retiree of 36 years with Titmus Optical in Petersburg. She is survived by her son, Barry â??Keith Wadeâ? and wife, Pamela; five grandchildren, Clint T. Wade and wife, Susan, Keith D. Wade and wife, Christy, Tiffany E. Wade, Joshua L. Wade and Jessica C. Wade; five brothers, Maldon E. Shepperson, Sr. and wife, Shirley, Carl A. Shepperson and wife, Irise, Gerald D. Shepperson and wife, Sylvia, R. Ray Shepperson and wife, Filomena, and Stanley L. Andrews, Jr. and wife, Willie; one sister, Betty S. Whittington; special friend, William â??Billâ? Hawks, Jr., numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, March 9, 2012 in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
