Carlos Eugene Creech

Carlos Eugene Creech, 71, of Hopewell, VA passed away, Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Judge Creech and Laura Kelly Creech; sisters, Maggie Brashears, Louise Stiles, Bettie McClanahan; brothers; Alvin Creech, and George Creech. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janet Creech; daughters, Carol Creech Shepherd and husband, Todd, Caryn Creech Scott and husband, Matt; grandchildren, Tristan Wyatt Shepherd, and Shaylyr Mae Scott; sister, Carolyn Gray and husband, Larry; brother, Eddie Creech and wife, Cathy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Carlos served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired after 23 years of faithful service. Following his service he retired from the City of Hopewell, serving as the Supply Warehouse Manager. He was also a member of American Legion Post 146. The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 19, 2017 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 20, 2017 in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
