Carlton Sr. Harris

Carlton L. Harris Sr., age 69, of Chester, a devoted husband, father and grandfather went to be with his Lord Jesus on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother Lily Anderson, and father Edward C. Harris. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bea Harris; daughter, Tina Andrews and partner, John Childress; son, Carlton Harris Jr.; granddaughter, Lindsey Andrews; grandson, Philip Harris; sister-in-laws, Jackie Kidd, Jeannie Coggin and husband, Kelly, Hattie â??Cookieâ? Newby and husband, Bobby; brother-in-laws, Elmer Messick, John Messick and wife, Etta; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Virginia for their kindness and compassion. A private cremation and memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. The family is being served by the Chesterfield chapel of J.T.
