Carol Cassell Lewis

Carol Cassell Lewis, of Chester, is at rest, and joined her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at 8:18PM. Born on November 30, 1943, to Charles "Clayton" Cassell and Belva "Pearl" Smith Cassell, Carol was proudly raised in Fancy Gap, VA, and in Chester. She graduated from Thomas Dale High and attended Richard Bland College of William & Mary. Carol wore many hats well: a legal secretary, an executive assistant for Topcrafters, co-owner of a gift store, dental receptionist, Stephen Minister, homemaker, friend to many, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted wife. She is survived by and missed dearly by her husband of 50 years, George "Bud" Lewis; sons, Greg, Mark (wife Monica), and Brian (husband Matt); five grandchildren, Logan, Regan, Jaya, Pearl and Daisy; brothers, Charles, Jimmy, and Todd along with their families. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, at Chester United Methodist Church, 12132 Percival St., Chester, VA 23831. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
