Carole Sabina Mumford

Carole Sabina Mumford, 71, of Petersburg, Virginia, formerly of Chevy Chase, Maryland, passed away on June 19, 2022, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger M. and Stella J. Mumford; brother, James R. Mumford; and sister, Susan J. Mumford. She started her career at the Petersburg Public Library before going to the Library of Congress, where she worked until her retirement. She will be remembered for her generosity and giving spirit. Carole is survived by her sister, Margaret L. Mumford, of Arlington, Virginia. Services will be private.
