Caroline Hess

Caroline Bear Hess age 75 of Hopewell died Sunday, August 15, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Howell Taylor Bear and Lydia Frances Morris Bear. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn E. Hess of Sandston, Suzanne L. Lacks of Chester and Rebecca J. Hebner of Mechanicsville; two sons, Wayne A.B. Hess of Hopewell and W. Morris Hess of Chester; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Lou Anderson of Petersburg, Frances Arpaia of Hopewell, Joanne Mullins of Chester and Andrea Buettemeyer of Abilene, TX; two brothers, H.T. Bear, Jr. of PA and Vincent Bear of Hopewell. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, David and John Bear. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted 12:30 P.M. Wednesday with Mural Worthey and Billy Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
