Carolyn Marcia Manley

Carolyn Marcia Manley, 80, of Chester, VA, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Born in Buffalo Praire, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Ellen Elliott; and was also preceded in death by her son, Ty Manley; and two brothers, Jim and Bill Elliott. Mrs. Manley worked as an X-Ray Technician for 10 years. She was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi and enjoyed oil painting. Carolyn will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Larry W. Manley; one son, J. Troy Manley and wife, Laura; six grandchildren, Joshua Mangano, Matthew Mangano (Jasmine), Elliott Manley, Nicholas Mangano (Katey), Shea Manley, and Landon Mangano; one great-granddaughter, Gianna Mangano; her sister-in-law, Mary Elliott; and three nieces, Jill Long (Charlie), Joy Ross, and Kris Keuning (Judd). A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to James River Hospice in memory of Carolyn Manley.
