Carolyn Lee Reese

Sister Carolyn Lee Reese, 80 years old, of Richmond, VA, passed away on March 24, 2024, in the comfort of her home. She was the daughter of the late Wilroy and Gladys Smith, born and raised in Norfolk, VA. She was married to Perry Reese for 16 years, until his death in 1990. Carolyn Reese moved in with her aunt, Elizabeth, in New York, and was introduced to the truth. She graduated from Maxwell H.S. and worked in the local movie theater, which she loved. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Wilroy & Gladys Smith; husband, Perry Reese; first husband, Thaddeus Williams, Jr.; brother, Wilroy Jr.; daughter, Kelly; son, Eric; and son-in-law, Kaliek. Carolyn Reese was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed music, tv shows like "Reba," puzzles, handball, and spending time with her family. Carolyn retired from the United States Postal Service after over 20 years of dedicated service. She was baptized in 1977, at the International Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses, and remained faithful in Jehovah until her final transition. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Vivian; brother, Lloyd (Eloise); children, Barbara (Herald), Sonia, Thaddeus (Zakiya), Gail (Walter), Keypae, Perissa (Orlando), Nadine (Justice), and Derrick.; grandchildren, Lashawn (Ananias), Terrence, Krystal, Trisha, Skye, Orlando, Jr., Shaquana-Simone (Arnold), Solon, Darryl, Dominick (Arabia), Danielle, Dasminn, London, Keyarah, Kareema (Eddie), Kathadaisa, Kimbalee, Thaddeus "TJ", Tyesha (Adonis), Naquan, Janay, Naheem, Marissa, Eric Jr., Chris, Ricky, and Keyonie; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 5:00 P.M. at the Falling Creek Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2710 Normandale Ave, Richmond, VA 23237.
