Carrie Paige Davis

Carrie Paige Davis, 41, of Dewitt, VA passed away on July 20, 2014. Born on May 7, 1973 in Petersburg, Virginia she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary and Earl Price; paternal grandparents, Hermas and Katie Grissom; and her father-in-law, Alvin “Smitty” Davis, Sr. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church and graduated from Beta Tech in 2005 with high honors. Carrie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Hank Davis, Sr.; two children, Chelsea Davis and J.D. Davis, Jr. and wife, Rhonda; two granddaughters, Ansley and Makayla; her parents, Jack and Terrie Grissom; a brother, Jay Grissom, Jr. and wife, Lynn; one nephew, John; her mother-in-law, Frances Marie Davis; brothers-in-law, Doug(Renee), Lee, Joe, Charlie, George and Nathan; one sister-in-law, Linda(Tim); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Rowland, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
