Caryl Jean Henry Maitland, 47, died on September 29, 2011. She was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on July 30, 1964, and was preceded in death by her father, LTC William Forrest Henry and her brother, Ronnie Forrest Henry. Caryl graduated from Colonial Heights High School in 1982 and attended Richard Bland College. She had a career in sales with Smith Advertising, as well as K-95 and also worked as marketing manager at Southpark Mall. She helped her parents with their business, Precision Tune, Inc. in Petersburg and was well thought of and loved by every customer she met. She also worked with her husband, Barry, at their business Power Service in Ashland. Caryl loved her family and friends so much and had a heart of gold. She never met a stranger and her passion was helping others. Her favorite Bible scripture was Phillippians 4:13: â??I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.â? She made a beautiful mark on every life she touched. Her talents were enormous and her giving spirit was endless. She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends. She is survived by her loving and devoted mother, Jean Garrett Henry of Colonial Heights; her best friend and sister, Susan Henry Crocker of Colonial Heights; husband, Barry Jay Maitland of Colonial Heights; children, Justin Forrest Maitland of Richmond, Jeremy Lee Maitland, Jayson Garrett Maitland, and Jeana Elizabeth Parke Maitland all of Colonial Heights. She is also survived by two nieces, Jacqueline Henry Romero of Colonial Heights and Jaycie Elizabeth Crocker of Colonial Heights, as well as many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family in Southlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Gene Tatum officiating. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
