Catherine G. “Cat” Walker, 58, of Aylett, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 3, 2016. Cathy was a loving, hard-working, good and faithful servant. She was full of life and spirit, and loved God, her family, friends, and the Celebration Church in Richmond. She loved God’s creation, nature, the land and ocean, and was a good steward of everything God has made. Cathy’s God given talents and gifts include music, photography, and art. Everyone that knew her was affected by her tenacious energy and smile, strong will and her great sense of heartfelt compassion and humor. She leaves behind an everlasting legacy of humility, independence, and love for her loved ones and pets. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter J. “Sonny” Walker; her grandparents, Battle B. “Buddy” and Gaenelle Fittz; her uncle, George E. Fittz; and close relatives with whom she will be reunited with at the gates of heaven. She is survived by her mother and step-dad, Annette Walker Marshall and James B. “Jim” Marshall; her sister, Cynthia A. “Cindy” Renfroe and husband, John; her very best friend and caregiver, Gena A. McGee; step-brothers, James “Jim” Marshall, Jr., D. Jason Marshall, Kevin C. Marshall, and William Marshall, their families, and her many dear friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 West Hundred Road, followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
