Catherine Jackson

Catherine Bowman Jackson, 82, of Colonial Heights, widow of Claiborne Julius Jackson, passed away Wednesday, January 02, 2008 at her residence. Born in Ettrick, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Josephine Hawkins Bowman. She was a longtime member of Ettrick Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson is survived by a daughter, Shirley A. Jackson; son, Claiborne E. â??Geneâ? Jackson and wife Annette all of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Clay Jackson and wife, Tanya of Chesterfield and Patty Long and husband, Jeff of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Heather Pierce, Jennifer Sossoman, Steven Jackson, Tyler Jackson and Chris Long; great-great-granddaughter, Jenna Pierce; sisters, Frances â??Tookieâ? Gill of Colonial Heights and Myrtle Whitaker of Petersburg, numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, January 4, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with The Rev. Ryan Atchison and The Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
