Catherine Geraldine Romig

Catherine Geraldine Romig, 84, of Enon passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Born in Pottstown, PA she was the daughter of the late A. Michael and Helen Berschetz Drabinsky; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Ray Romig; three brothers, Johnny, Eddie and Bobby Drabinsky; and two sisters, Marie Himes and Rosanne Reigner Waterworth. Mrs. Romig was retired from the Chesterfield County Public School System and was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Hopewell, VA. She is survived by her children, Gary Romig and wife, Winnie, Cynthia Mazierski and husband, John, Christine Nash and husband, Bob, Cathy Bailey and husband, Rob, Glenn Romig and wife, Karen; twelve grandchildren, Carissa, Michael, Lindsey, Blake, Alexa, Robert, Ryan, Caitlin, Tyler, Shane, Kalie and Dayton; five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kinsley, Emma, Hailey and Grayson; a brother, Frank Drabinsky and wife, Anne; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, 510 W. Poythress St., Hopewell, VA, 23860, with Fr. Julio Buena, celebrant. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, VA. Flowers are welcome, or contributions may be made to Enon Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Catherine Romig.
