Catherine "Kitty" Ann Salvo

May 16, 1945 — February 5, 2021

Catherine “Kitty” Salvo went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 5, 2021. Born in Wilmington, Delaware on May 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Louis Robino. She graduated from Padua Academy, where she played basketball and softball. Upon her graduation, she went to work in the Advertising Department of Hercules Incorporated as an administrative assistant.
Kitty is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Ernest Salvo. She was blessed with two daughters, Sherri Salvo and Mary Stidham and her husband, David; two grandsons, Zachary and Darren, the treasures of her life; and her sister, Mary Lou Robino, OSB of Newark, Delaware.
Kitt was an active member of St. James Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir and ministered as a greeter and usher. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in St. James Catholic Church, 510 W Poythress St, Hopewell, VA 23860. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, St. Gertrude Monastery, 25 Gender Road, Newark, Delaware 19713, or Kindred Hospice, 595 Old Wagner Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.
